The project consists in an installation of a temporary commerce that can be build in different types of climate and lands. The main goal was to design a space that would be able to have different types of commerce with different sizes, from small bussiness to bigger companies.
The structure was developed to have minimum spend and maximum lightweight, priorizing the transportability of the materials in a single truck and the possibility to assembly everything in a small period of time. The result is a structure that is a unit on itself, simple, light and attractive for all visitors.
The main material of the structure is steel, being the ‘gaivota’ pilar the main element of the project. The ‘gaivota’ is inspired on a bird, the seagull, and the structure of the pilar aims to give the whole design a light idea of the flight. Also, the holes inside the beams are made to create a ligher structure and material economy.
The project itself is modular on the inside and also by replicating the base structure into more. The natural light and wind are priorities to the design, in order to avoid the need to spend energy on the structure, the aim of the discipline Architecture and Industry.
